Kowloon flat full renovation

Client’s request was to make their two bedrooms – one bath apartment work at ‘Top-Speed’ for the needs of all immediate family members, annual overseas visits by the grandparents as well as weekend evenings of entertaining friends. Child’s bedroom was structurally enlarged to accomodate a queen-sized bed for visiting grandparents and a full-height and full-width wardrobe while leaving sufficient open floor-space required for child’s free-play. Additional storage was given with overhead cabinets and gas-lift storage under the beds. The bathroom was remodelled and split into two, to suit the needs of rushed morning hours.

Custom-made furniture not only helped achieve maximum efficiency for every inch of space, custom colours and finishes especially created for the client also helped achieve pared-down, clutter-free modern aesthetics that they aspired for. Cool tones of blues and greys in living room and bedrooms balanced the warmth of existing wood flooring while touches of white marble were added for freshness. Terrazzo flooring and walls in the restroom with complementing coral-coloured cabinets and black-coloured hardware added just the right dose of drama to the otherwise tranquil adobe.
